1. November 2024The organ was built by Marcussen & Søn in 1986, with 10 stops on 2 manuals and pedal.
In 2024 we have reorganised and expanded the organ to 13 stops + 2 octave transmissions + 2 transmissions.

In approving the organ, the Church Ministry's organ consultant writes:
This has opened up for the realisation of a wide repertoire, which must make it an experience to work with. As an organist, the instrument feels large in relation to its actual size, which is largely due to the new ‘Oboe unit’, which acts as a Fagot 16‘in the main work, an Oboe 8’ in the swell work and a 16‘/4’ Fagot in the pedal work. The progression of both mensuration and intonation means that this ‘pipework’ works equally well in all divisions! In the Great, you get a warm but relatively slim width to the division - with and without the Mixture.
The Obo/Fagot is in the swell, which is why - as a rare and exciting opportunity - it is possible to vary the strength of the swell - even in the pedal! The reorganisation has also contributed to the addition of a new Hohlflöte 8‘, which takes over the place in the Great organ from a Gedakt 8’, which with its new position in the swell reinforces the previously somewhat limited basic sound. The Hohlflöte 8‘ is not overblowing, but has a warmth and tonal density that contributes to the division's foundation and sounds lovely together with the Principal 8’. For the current rebuild/expansion, an electromagnetic contact system (Espressivo) connected to valve boxes was used, which works surprisingly well. At no point does the action of the organ feel complex, and the experience of playing a classical organ with a mechanical action is intact. Visually, the original appearance of the organ and façade has been preserved after the extension and modest relocation, although the relocated wooden pipes from Subbas 16' (C-H) are now visible.
The organ case has been extended 80 cm in depth. The expansion is utilised for an internal tuning bridge, which is placed between the current windchest and the new windchest with electrically controlled valves. The Subbass pipes, which were previously located at the rear wall of the organ case, are now placed on the north wall of the tower room.
