The Royal Danish Academy of Music · Copenhagen

Since 2008 the Royal Danish Academy of Music has been housed in outstanding architectural surroundings, which were the domicile of the Danish Radio from 1945-2007. The beautiful and atmospheric building, designed by the architect Vilhelm Lauritzen, underwent a thoroughgoing renovation and conversion which transformed it from being the Danish Broadcasting Corporation into a modern educational institution of music. The interior of the concert hall , with the outstanding organ facade, was designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen as well. The organ was completed in 1946 and with 86 stops is is one of the biggest organs in Denmark.
