SACRED HEART OF JESUS CHURCH
In 2020 the organ at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church will be restored. It was built in 1899 by G. Stahlhuth, Aachen. In 1938 the organ was restored and the specification changed by Marcussen & Son. The console was reused, however in 1947 the organbuilding company Kemper rebuild the organ with addition of a Rückpositiv and a 3-manual console. The Rückpositive will now be removed and a new 2-manual console, in the style of G. Stahlhuth will replace the present console.
From the Rückpositive 3 historical stops, originally built for the Marcussen & Reuter organ at St. Angar’s Cathedral, will be reused for a new Choir Organ.
New organ with 16 stops, 2 manuals & pedal, to be installed in Herborg Church. The present gallery will be removed and the organ will be placed on the church floor. The concept is classical, with Brustwerk, Great and Pedal organs and with mechanical key and stop action.
In 2018-2020 the main organ at Århus Cathedral will be restored. The organ was built by Th. Frobenius & Co. in 1928, with reuse of the L.D. Kastens facade from 1730. The majority of the pipes are from 1928, however with numerous later rebuilds. The pipework also contains material from 1730 (L.D. Kastens), 1855 (P.U.F. Demant), 1869-76 (J.A. Demant).
The specification of the 1928 organ will be reconstructed, by relocation of pipes to their original divisions and by reconstruction of pipes, partly by using old, adequate pipe material.
THE CONCERT HALL · THE ROYAL DANISH ACADEMY OF MUSIC
In 1946 Marcussen & Søn built the organ for the concert hall, which was then the home of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation. In 2009 and 2017 the electro-pneumatic action was restored and equipped with new digital transmitting and combinations systems. Further the wind system was restored and two stops were added in the pedal: Basun 16′ og Trompet 8′, and the existing chamade changed stop names to Trompette 8′ og Bombarde 16′. In 2020 the organ will be revoiced.

SEE AND HEAR AN EXAMPLE OF ONE OF OUR ORGANS
The sound of a Marcussen & Son organ is something special. Since our very beginning, the sound has been a central part of our hallmark – and so it remains. A pipe organ from Marcussen & Son is known by the sound. We are proud when we are told that music lovers clearly feel and hear the difference and know when it is a Marcussen & Son organ that is played. We are dedicated to ensure that the organs we build fits perfectly with the specific room.
