Jernved Church

The new organ in Jernved Church by Gredstedbro was built in 2023. It has 17 stops + 1 transmittet stop, on the Great organ, Swell organ and Pedal organ. Mechanical key and stop action. Regulating bellows built into the wind chests.

The organ is located in the northwest corner of the church.

The organ consultant states in the report regarding the new organ: "Jernved Church's new organ offers a well thought-out disposition, designed primarily with liturgical use in mind. An effective tonal foundation is the very prerequisite for a well-functioning "hymn organ" - not least when the possibilities for the composition of colorful and expressive ensemble and solo registrations are as rich as they are. A clear direction has been chosen in the planning: focus on a varied and blending fluework of considerable size, which has been done at the expense of reed voices. This choice should be seen in the light of the organ's location in a village church, where temperature differences can often be a challenge in connection with the voicing of reed stops. On the other hand, with a mixture of Quint 2 2/3', Terts 1 3/5' and Rauschquint II-IV, the organ offers registrations which, together with the basic stops, provide really beautiful solo possibilities and - as a bonus - can compensate the missing reeds quite convincingly.

The number of characteristic flute stops and perfectly blending principals give the experience of playing a large organ with many possibilities, and the placement in the swell of the narrow and homogeneous Bordun 16' helps to create fundament  - underlined by an effective swell function.
